Brief Work Report of Earthview for year 2004
(1 January - 31 December, 2004)
 

Publications released: 28 writings/publications were released in 2004, Table 2004.1 shows the detail.

Public events held: 14 public seminars/speeches/meetings (Table 2004.2) and 14 media interviews (Table 2004.3) for the publicity of environmental science knowledge were given in 2004.

Campaigns participated: 4 Campaigns listed below were participated by Earthview in 2004.
1) Campaign for Energy Saving initiated by China Youth Daily
2) Campaign for Better Air Quality initiated by Beijing EPA
3) Campaign for Improving Public Transportation System in Beijing initiated by Beijing Association for Natural Science and Social Science
4) Campaign for Raising Content Quality of Internet Educational Resources initiated by China Association for Science and Technology

Consultancy assignments carried out: 11 consultancy assignments were carried out in 2004, Table 2004.4 shows the detail.

Broadcast distributions: 48 film copies were distributed to China Central Television (Table 2004.5) and Beijing Television (Table 2004.6), and 31 film titles were provided to 11 TV/film makers for footage use (Table 2004.7) in 2004.

Non-broadcast distributions: The total video copies distributed to non-broadcast users in 2004 were 5,436, among which 380 videos were borrowed (Table 2004.8), 2,916 were donated (Table 2004.9), 140 were sold (Table 2004.10) , and 2,000 (Table 2004.11) were distributed to VCD lending libraries across China.

Annual Work Report of Earthview for Year 2003
(1 January - 31 December, 2003)
 
Broadcast distributions: 121 film copies were distributed to 5 Chinese TV broadcasters and film makers (Table 2003.1A),and 16,871 seconds of film footage were distributed to 8 Chinese TV programme makers (Table 2003.1B) in 2003.
 
Non-broadcast distributions: The total number of video copies distributed to non-broadcast users were 6730, among which 884 videos were borrowed (Table 2003.2A), 5,621 videos were donated (Table 2003.2B-1 and Table 2003.2B-2), and 225 videos were sold (Table 2003.2C) in 2003.

Broadcast distributions: 168 film copies were distributed to 8 Chinese TV broadcasters (Table 2002.1A) and 34,427 seconds of film footages were distributed to 21 Chinese TV programme makers (Table 2002.1B) in 2002.

Non-broadcast distributions: The total number of non-broadcast distributed videos were 1963, among which 836 videos were borrowed (Table 2002.2A), 603 videos were donated (Table 2002.2B), and 524 videos were sold (Table 2002.2C) at cost during 2002.

Broadcast distributions: 145 film copies were distributed to 11 Chinese TV broadcasters (Table 2001.1A) and 57,501 seconds of film footages were distributed to 21 Chinese TV programme makers (Table 2001.1B) in 2001.

Non-broadcast distributions: The total number of non-broadcast distributed videos were 2077, among which 1212 videos were borrowed (Table 2001.2A), 544 videos were donated (Table 2001.2B), and 321 videos were sold (Table 2001.2C)at cost during 2001.

Language versions produced: 37 international films from Oekomedia Institute, TVE, Unicef and other organizations were translated and versioned into Chinese, Table 2001.3 shows the titles.

Public events held: 2001 Oekomedia Environmental Film Festival in Beijing was the most important event held by Earthview in 2001. In cooperation with China Forum of Environmental Journalists (CFEJ) and Oekomedia Institut, Earthview and TVE volunteers in China successfully held the first Oekomedia Environmental Film Festival in Beijing on April 4 - 21, 2001.

The film screenings were done at different places such as universities, governmental agencies and cinema, Table 2001.5 gives the detail of the venues and audience number. Besides, more than 100 schools, NOGs and other organizations borrowed the VHS copies of the festival films and did the screenings by themselves during the festival time (Table 2001.6 gives the detail). Therefore the total number of the audience reached to more than 100,000 people,

Campaigns participated: 19 public lectures were given to NGOs, governmental agencies, communities and universities in 2001 (Table 2001.7).

Consultancy assignments carried out: 21 consultant services were provided to governmental bureaus, TV and other mass media agencies and journalists in 2001, Table 2001.8 gives details.
